Dear Valued Customers,
We’re excited to share that as of 10:39 P.M. on March 25, 2025, our PBX systems have received important updates to improve performance and reliability:
OVERVIEW
We have a handful of bugs resolved in 6.0, and one small bug fix in 5.7.
Additionally, due to the volume of 6.0 issues since our first set of upgrades, we have temporarily paused any further upgrades to 6.0 to any production PBXs until these issues are resolved.
Version 5.7 Updates:
All 5.7 PBXs have been upgraded to version v5.7.77 (up from v5.7.76). This update includes a fix for an issue with the “Send QR Code to E-Mail” feature for extensions associated with the mobile Acrobits softphone. This is the issue PBX-3338.
Version 6.0 Updates:
All 6.0 PBXs have been upgraded to version v6.0.6 (up from v6.0.5). This release addresses a few key issues:
BUG: Music On Hold was not behaving as expected. In short, the default music on hold group was playing instead of the configured music on hold on the user’s extension. However, we discovered that any new music on hold changes post 6.0 upgrade were not reflected in the music on hold filesystem on the PBX. This has now been corrected. This is issue PBX-3380.
BUG: There is an issue with the Polycom/Poly phones where their DND (Do Not Distrurb) hard key is not functioning. We have added a temporary workaround that allows this softkey to activate Do Not Disturb on the handset locally. For this temporary fix to work, the handset must be power cycled.
NOTE: With the workaround, the PBX will not be “aware” of the handset DND status, and this status will not correctly reflect the user’s presence. In simple terms other users will not see them as “unavailable” on their BLF key indicators. A permanent fix that supports server-side DND via the DND key is being worked on. This is issue PBX-3358 , which is still ongoing.
Important Note on Future Upgrades:
We have temporarily paused further upgrades on production PBXs while we resolve a few of the reported issues. We are committed to making sure that our systems perform at their best, and we will let you know as soon as we resume our regular upgrade schedule.
Looking Ahead:
We continue to work on several other fixes and enhancements, including improvements to our web interface and reporting features. Our team is dedicated to keeping you informed and ensuring a seamless experience.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
The DLS Team
