DLS PBX Update Summary – April 17, 2025

We’ve been busy over the past two weeks, and we’re excited to share our latest updates and improvements to both the 5.7 and 6.0 versions of the DLS Hosted PBX. As of 11:32 P.M. on April 8, 2025, all 5.7 PBXs have been updated to version 5.7.84, and all 6.0 PBXs are now running version 6.0.15.

Earlier this month, we upgraded another 6 PBXs to the latest 6.0 release. If your team requires a specific upgrade window, please reach out to our support or development teams.

🔍 IN-DEPTH CHANGES

6.0 Series

6.0.15
  • PBX-3455: Resolved unreliable T.38 faxing reported by client.
  • PBX-3456: Resolved an issue where enabling/disabling eFax failed to update the dial plan properly.
6.0.14
  • PBX-3414: Fixed broken Call Quality Reports due to backend query issues.
  • PBX-3366: Fixed “View” button in Queue Reports, which failed to preserve time range filters.
6.0.13
  • PBX-3440: Resolved voicemail pagination issue that prevented bulk deletion.
  • PBX-3431: Fixed Admin API status endpoint — users, calls, and queues now display correctly.
  • PBX-3438: Resolved broken filter on Users → Follow Me page.
  • PBX-3442: Fixed backend logic for Follow Me not being created if only enabled via feature code. Update script now ensures all extensions have valid logic.
  • PBX-3258: Added FastAGI support to reduce delays with large dial groups. Configurable in System → General Settings.
  • PBX-3424: Improved SMS Wizard UI — DIDs are now numerically ordered; brand creation flow improved.
6.0.12
  • PBX-3443: Fixed crash issue with Polycom VVX600 video calls to Desktop Communicator.
  • PBX-3362: Added call recording access directly on the Call Event Log page (see attached screenshot).
6.0.11
  • PBX-3406: Fixed broken fax detection routing step.
  • DTC-66: Fixed fax report bug where records incorrectly matched users with identical auth-IDs.
  • PBX-3415: Fixed issue where parked calls would hang up immediately after timeout.
  • PBX-3358: Finalized Polycom DND fix with patched Asterisk version across all 6.0 PBXs.
  • PBX-3404: Resolved queue agent issues post-upgrade by requiring re-login after upgrade.
  • PBX-3394: Fixed missing IP addresses on Users → Status for Bria and Grandstream devices.

5.7 Series

5.7.84
  • PBX-3424: Improved SMS Campaign Registry form behavior — auto-activates embedded link/phone options if sample contains them. Also added “Last Submitted” timestamp for campaigns.
  • PBX-3273: Updated misleading warning when deleting shared/mirrored extensions.
5.7.83
  • PBX-3386: Fixed footer branding bug for white-labeled PBXs. “DLS” name no longer appears.
5.7.82
  • PBX-3205: Resolved major blocker that prevented deletion of tenants/users due to unresolved routing references. Tenant cancellations can now resume normally.
  • IMPROVEMENT: Error messages now display more technical details only to DLS staff (admins). Non-staff users will see simpler, user-friendly descriptions.
5.7.81
  • PBX-3422: Global warnings (e.g., “Pending DID Removal”) now show only to Admins. Regular users don’t need to be bothered with the system messages that do not directly impact them.
  • PBX-3402: Fixed voicemail retrieval bug caused by permission issues or missing directories.
  • Minor fix: Restored missing version notes that were not rendering due to a parsing error. (Ooops)

💡 DESKTOP COMMUNICATOR

  • DTC-70: Desktop Communicator now shows a warning if your system clock is out of sync — previously, this would silently break provisioning.

🛠️ UPCOMING FIXES

  • PBX-3408: Call Pickup on Polycom handsets in 6.0 is under active investigation. May require another Asterisk patch.
  • PBX-2766: Fixes to Conferencing Reports in 6.0 are still being reviewed and tested.
  • PBX-3392: UI fixes for the SMS → Quick Setup page are ready and should go live this week.
  • PBX-3441: Some users experience empty results on Status → Users. Investigation ongoing as of April 9.

Thanks for staying with DLS!

We’ll return next week with more updates — on time this time 😊
