As of 11:11 P.M. on April 22, 2025, all 5.7 PBXs have been updated to version 5.7.85, and all 6.0 PBXs have been upgraded to version 6.0.17.
OVERVIEW
We’ve resumed our 6.0 upgrade schedule this week and are rolling out a short but meaningful list of updates — mostly focused on bug fixes and a new Yealink handset feature.
If you’re using Yealink phones and want to eliminate missed call pop-up notifications, you’ll be happy to see what’s changed in this release.
UPCOMING PBX UPGRADES
Another 10 PBXs are scheduled for upgrade tonight (April 23) at 11:59 P.M. to the latest 6.0 release.
IN-DEPTH CHANGES
6.0 Series
6.0.17
- PBX-3461: Fixed an issue in Reports → Login Log where admins couldn’t clear login locks via the icon.
🔁 If the problem persists, a hard refresh of the browser is recommended. - PBX-3296: Cleaned up the Users → Notifications dropdown by removing shared and mirrored extensions that don’t support notifications.
6.0.16
- PBX-3365: Fixed broken documentation links on the System → Office Hours and Users → Preferences pages.
5.7 Series
5.7.85
- PBX-3273: Based on a feedback from customer(s), we’ve disabled missed call pop-up notifications on all supported Yealink handsets (T4x, T5x, W70, W60, W50, VP59).
🔧 This is currently a permanent change. To apply it, users will need to reboot their devices or manually update their configuration. If there’s demand, we may make this a toggleable feature. - PBX-3239: We added a safeguard to prevent PBXs from being downgraded to a previous major version (e.g., 5.6 or 5.7) without an explicit command.
📌 This is an internal control and doesn’t affect normal operations.
DESKTOP COMMUNICATOR
We continue to improve the Desktop Communicator experience — including better error detection and provisioning support (noted in past updates). One important change to the Desktop Communicator is that it is now accessible to blind users, free of tab traps and can be fully navigated via keyboard only.
UPCOMING FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
Here’s a preview of what’s coming soon:
- PBX-3446: Fixing an issue where inbound calls show ‘N/A’ as the ringing party on Status → Calls. Rollout expected by end of week.
- PBX-2931: Minor fixes to Office Hours UI — going live shortly.
- PBX-3360: Adding extra logic when deleting call routing steps to prevent conflicts.
- PBX-2766: The long-awaited Conferencing Report fix for 6.0 is almost ready.
- PBX-3430: Enhancements to anonymous calling in 6.0 are nearly complete.
- PBX-3385: White-label favicon support is being added to the PBX interface.
- PBX-3433: Displaying original Caller ID for parked calls is ready, but will follow the anonymous calling improvements.
